Part-Time Home Furnishings Sales Associate

Vintage & Soul Home is a vintage-inspired brand with a beautiful retail store in Erie, PA, and a website that is currently being redesigned for a national relaunch. We believe in elevated entertaining and we provide a wide variety of fine home accents, furniture, and interior design for the home that blends modern and more traditional elements.

Our leadership team is committed to creating an instore and online experience that provides unmatched value and service for discerning customers who want to accent their home with distinctive, high-quality statement pieces that match their personalities and their lifestyles.

We are growing–and we now need a new sales team member who loves quality furnishings and is eager to share her/his enthusiasm with our customers! 

This position includes an hourly wage plus commissions. And…you can also grow with us!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic manner

• Contribute to team’s daily sales goals through personal selling expertise, a strong working knowledge of upscale home furnishings products, and our vendors

• Deliver excellent customer service that drives customer satisfaction and develop strong buying relationships with customers

• Assist customers in store and on the phone to determine their needs and offer recommendations based on their preference -- cross sell products to increase purchase amounts

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of our brand narrative and history, along with expertise and passion for our products

• Educate customers about current promotions, in-store events, and our new Vintage VIP(™)  program

• Operate registers and manage financial transactions

• Assists in maintaining a clean, orderly, and attractive showroom appearance

• Other duties as assigned

Required

​

• In-store retail and/or sales experience; preferably in a similar industry/vertical 

• Personal interest in home design and decor

• Ability to demonstrate friendliness, enthusiasm, and professional customer service

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet, iPads. Experience using POS software is a bonus.

• Self-motivated individual who asks great questions, listens intently and leads thoughtfully

• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time and merchandising shelves using a ladder when necessary

• Flexible and available to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
